Air Pass for Buddhist destinations launched by Air India

Air India has launched an Air Pass for pilgrims to major Buddhist cities in India, Myanmar and Sri Lanka.This coupon-based scheme for journeys originating in Yangon and Colombo, and is applicable to all types of journeys in economy class, except group travel. Under this scheme one can combine destinations Myanmar, Sri Lanka and India in a single journey. 

The fares are divided into four schemes—two for flights originating from Myanmar and two from Sri Lanka. Under scheme one can avail ex-Yangon six flight coupons for US$600, while scheme two offers eight ex-Yangon coupons for US$800. Schemes three and four are for flights from Sri Lanka, which offers six coupons for US$450 or eight coupons for US$800. Tickets can be booked at Air India offices or through travel agents, and are valid for 60 days from the start date of the journey.

Sibuta Lung

Sibuta Lung is monument sandstone establish at Tachhip village, which is 20 Km away from Aizwal civic. Sibuta Lung was elevated through a Palian leader approximate 300 years back. The monument Sibuta Lung shows a tale of dropped love and hunger for vengeance.

It is believed that, a little soul, Sibuta, was accepted via the leader. Sibuta murdered his accepted father and turned out to be the leader of greater than 2,000 houses. However he botched in his love living and was left by a young woman. Sibuta gone crazy for retribution and he place a youthful and gorgeous girl, Darlai, in a large ditch on which he hunted to rigid a monument for himself. The enormous shock was dragged with big effort from the cradle of the Tlawng stream, which is at a distance of 10 Km.

The rock was immersed through the blood of three persons who were surrendered. The rock was lifted depositing Darlai breathing on the ditch under the rock.

Moais of Easter Island

Easter Island is a Chilean island in the southeastern Pacific Ocean, at the southeastern most point of the Polynesian Triangle. Easter Island is famous for its 887 extant monumental statues, called moai, created by the early Rapa Nui people. In 1995, UNESCO named Easter Island a World Heritage Site, with much of the island protected within Chile National Park.

Polynesian people most likely settled on Easter Island sometime between 700 to 1100 CE, and created a thriving and industrious culture as evidenced by the island's numerous enormous stone moai and other artifacts. However, human activity, the introduction of the Polynesian rat and overpopulation led to gradual deforestation and extinction of natural resources which severely weakened the Rapa Nui civilization.By the time of European arrival in 1722, the island's population had dropped to 2,000–3,000 from an estimated high of approximately 15,000 just a century earlier. European diseases and Peruvian slave raiding in the 1860s further reduced the Rapa Nui population, to a low of only 111 inhabitants in 1877.

Easter Island is a special territory of Chile that was annexed in 1888. How to get there
Santiago to Punta Arenas: by air. Punta Arenas – Puerto Natales: overground. From Puerto Natales to the park (by private and public road), it is posible to go one of two ways. The first is : from the north exit of the city, after approximately 23 km, take the turn-off to the left, 122 km more to the Administrative office. 2) On the same exit north of Puerto Natales, but take the turn-off to the right at kilometer 23, and on this route, you will enter the park through the Porteria Sarmiento, the park main gate.

Lauca National Park

Lauca National Park is located in Chiles far north, in the Andean range and is one of the top tourist attractions in Chile. The most spectacular feature in Lauca is the beautiful Lago Chungara, one of the world’s highest lakes. Looming over it is the impossibly perfect cone of Volcan Parinacota, a dormant volcano with a twin brother, Volcan Pomerape, just across the border with Bolivia.

With a surface area of 137,883 ha (303,342 acres), this Global Biosphere Reserve covers the pre-Andean mountain chain and the high plateau of the northeast end of the region of Tarapaca. It has a dry climate with well-defined day and night thermal variations. This park is well-known for being home to a great wealth of flora and fauna, its highly interesting culture and history, and sites of uncultivated beauty. More than 130 different bird species live in this park, in addition to the distinctive vicunas, vizcachas, and condors. A major attraction of the park is the astonishing Lake Chungara, one of the highest lakes in the world, located at the foot of the Payachata twin volcanoes.
